2024 CRE Summit PIVOT Awards
By: J. David Chapman/September 13/ 2024
On October 16th, at the 2024 Commercial Real Estate Summit, hosted by the UCO Real Estate Program, PIVOT Awards will be presented to real estate professionals who have made the most pivotal advances in our industry. This year, we will present PIVOT awards to a real estate broker, lender, developer, public official, appraiser, and journalist. We are so blessed to have many quality professionals; it is a difficult task to choose only one per category.
The process starts with you – the public. We take nominations from organizations such as the Commercial Real Estate Council (CREC), Commercial Real Estate Woman (CREW), Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors (GTAR), Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors (OKCMAR), Edmond Board of Realtors, Oklahoma Association of Realtors (OAR), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Oklahoma Home Builders Association, Urban Land Institute (ULI), and others. After receiving nominations, the Commercial Real Estate Summit Foundation Board of Directors deliberate and discuss the candidates and make decisions.
The Commercial Real Estate Summit is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to connect CRE professionals & affiliated industries to educational topics & networking opportunities. The CRE Summit Foundation provides scholarships to students of real estate at the University of Central Oklahoma. The day’s events are sponsored by the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency, A to Z Inspections, Vision Bank, First American Title, Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area of Realtors, MLSok, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and FirsTitle.
In 2023, the Commercial Real Estate Summit Foundation awarded PIVOT Awards to Trait Thompson for his work leading the Oklahoma Capital restoration project, Matthew Myers for his innovative work in urban design, Josh Moore, former Edmond City Councilman, and Todd McKinnis, an attorney specializing in real estate and zoning law.
The CRE Summit serves as a hub for industry professionals, providing opportunities for networking and discussions on the latest trends and challenges. It also supports education by offering scholarships through the CRE Summit Foundation for students in real estate programs. You will see the most innovative commercial real estate vendors and have the opportunity to participate in the real estate job fair.
So, let’s take action. Nominate a deserving PIVOT candidate, become an exhibitor to advertise your company, sign up to expand your workforce by participating in the job fair, or simply come learn and network by registering for the 2024 Commercial Real Estate Summit at www.2024cresummit.eventbrite.com.
