By : J. David Chapman/February 20, 2025

The Commercial Real Estate Council (CREC) of OKC comprises over 250 professionals dedicated to the success and integrity of the commercial real estate industry. Annually, CREC honors Oklahoma’s top commercial brokers across various categories. This year’s awards luncheon was held atop the BancFirst building in downtown OKC at the Petroleum Club. Following the awards, Mark Beffort of Newmark Robinson Park discussed his downtown developments.

For Office Sale Transaction of the Year, Zack Conroy of BANTA Property Group was recognized for facilitating the sale of the 23,271 SF Bethany Business Park. BANTA played a pivotal role throughout the property’s lifecycle—from the initial land sale to advising on development, constructing eight free standing office buildings, leasing them, and ultimately listing and selling the property.

In the Office Lease Transaction of the Year category, CBRE Brokers Bob Pielsticker, Matt Reese, Dylan Seibert, Jim Austin, Tom Lange, Hannah Berry Mazur, and Newmark Robinson Park Principal Mark Beffort were honored for the 78,869 SF lease at Crowe & Dunlevy, PC Headquarters.

For Industrial Lease Transaction of the Year, Newmark Robinson Park Brokers Brett Price, Kris Davis, and Karley Harper secured a 154,915 SF lease for Dart Warehouse Corporation, a distribution facility developed by Flint Development.

Allan Meaders of Cushman & Wakefield Commercial OK received the Industrial Sale Transaction of the Year for a sale featuring a short term leaseback. Despite deferred maintenance challenges, he successfully navigated the complexities.

In Retail Lease Transaction of the Year, Stuart Graham of CBRE and Alaina Boren of Pegasus Group OK were recognized for assembling a tenant lineup at the Grove Marketplace (HomeGoods) development. Their efforts secured 23,383 SF of space, meeting co tenancy requirements for major retailers such as Ross Dress for Less and Five Below.

Philip Mazaheri of Price Edwards & Company earned Retail Sale Transaction of the Year honors for the sale and financing of the 272,135 SF Bryant Square Shopping Center Power Center in Edmond, OK.

Newmark Brokers Tim McKay, Justin Wilson, Brandon Lamb, Ted Prince, and Ben McKay received the Multi family Sale Transaction of the Year for the sale of The Erica, a 408,768 SF deal complicated by a low leverage loan assumption.

Leland Clark of Sooner Investment and Don Hayes of Hayes Brokerage were honored with the Land Sale Transaction of the Year for a 9 acre sale—in conjunction with Christian Kanady and Mark Beffort—that will host a mixed use stadium in Lower Bricktown.
