Commercial Real Estate Summit set

OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2019 Commercial Real Estate Summit is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Embassy Suites in downtown Oklahoma City.
The Central Oklahoma Commercial Association of Realtors and the University of Central Oklahoma Real Estate Program will be the hosts.
Educational sessions will focused on tax and legal issues, community and economic development and commercial real estate brokerage.
Speakers will include Josh Cockroft, senior director of government affairs for the Oklahoma Association of Realtors, who will discuss the current political climate and issues on the horizon for the commercial real estate industry; Jonathan Dodson, Pivot Project partner and developer with a focus on urban infill redevelopment, who will discuss financing; David Chapman, associate professor of finance in the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma, who will highlight the unintended consequences of medical marijuana laws for the real estate industry; and Chris Zimmerman, vice president for economic development for Washington, D.C.-based Smart Growth America, who will be speaking on transit-oriented development.
